Kenny Wallace names the last of the 'bloodline of the greats' in NASCAR

NASCAR is a sport that often sees a lot of dynasties that has multiple generations of racers, including champions. But as the sports went mainstream and more youngsters started to invest time and money to racing. Now there are no longer any Petty’s, Eranhardt’s or Jarrett’s in the stop of the sport.

There are still multi-generation racers like the reigning champion Ryan Blaney, whose father has raced a lot in the early 2000s. But unlike in the past, most of these drivers aren’t of the royalty and are offsprings of racers who were stars for a limited period of time in their arcing days. According ex-racer Kenny Wallace there is just one racer from a royalty remains in the sport.

He pointed out that Chase Elliott, the Hendrick Motorsports No:9 Chevy racer is the last of the great bloodline. Wallace added that other multi-generational racers are like Blaney, whose father had limited success. Chase is the son of Bill Elliott, who was once the most popular driver in the sport. This is a major reason for the passionate fan base Chase Elliott has.

Chase Elliott is the last of the bloodline of the greats. I know Ryan Blaney has won the championship and I love his dad, Dave, but he was never a NASCAR great. He didn't win any races. I didn't win any races, so me and Dave Blaney are kind of the same. Kenny Wallace said via his YouTube channel.

Kenny Wallace identifies the next Kyle Larson

Young racer Corey Day is considered by many as the next Kyle Larson and Kenny Wallace has joined the train after the dirt racer won this weeks High Limit Series race. Wallace via X pointed out that, Day can be the next big thing. Earlier Larson had said the same about the youngster in an interview with Wallace.

The high schooler is having strong run in the High Limit Series, which is owned by Kyle Larson. He ranks third in the championship with 635 points, behind veterans Tyler Courtney and Brad Sweet . He is ahead of the likes of Rico Abreu, Kasey Kahane and more. It won’t take more time for him to make it to NASCAR if the same form continues.
