Texas WR Jordan Whittington Declares for NFL Draft

His hard work paid off, as he is one of Texas' most important players this season even without putting up gaudy stats like his receiver running mates. In 2023, he caught 42 passes for 505 yards and a touchdown, including a massive catch near the end of the Sugar Bowl that put the Longhorns in position to pull off a miracle.

Whittington now ends his career with 141 catches for 1,757 yards and five touchdowns.

He is someone who exemplifies everything that an NFL team is looking for, as he gives 110 percent on every play regardless of whether or not he gets the ball.

He likely has more career highlight blocks and hustle plays than any receiver ever and is quite similar to running back Roschon Johnson whose efforts earned him a spot in the NFL. 

"I can honestly say that I gave the university everything I had, every day, for 365 days a year,” Whittington said after the Sugar Bowl loss.

And now, Whittington will have the same chance as Johnson at the next level, and it goes without saying that he will work his tail off every day that opportunity is in his grasp.
